BeePark Community Centre

We are a community based, not for profit organisation. The Bee Park is a hub in the local community in Manorhamilton providing space for other community groups to operate out of as well as space for private and some statutory organisations to work from.

We provide a number of key supports and services such as;
• Education and training supports ranging from literacy to computer training course,
sports/coach training etc in a variety of programs
• Support business and community groups
• Provide information, advice and support services to the local community through MABS,
Domestic Violence Advocacy Services, etc.
• Childcare services to 60+ children age 1-12 years of age
• Counselling and mental health supports
• Women’s health and training projects
• Youth supports
• Meals on wheels to over 60 people at present

The Bee Park hosts a number of Community groups such as the North Leitrim Men’s Group, North Leitrim Women’s Centre, STOP, Kilgar Community Care group and a Community Childcare service. In addition, we providing meeting space for other voluntary organisations such as the Active Age, GAA, Soccer, AA groups, Vintage Car group, Girl’s brigade, school concerts and other large community events and fund-raising activities.

Through these organisations and other activities, the centre provides training opportunities for marginalized men, women, families and individuals through the provision of training programs, literacy supports, counselling and social activities.

Committee Structure of the organisation;
The Board of the Bee Park is made up of people drawn from the local community who are engaged with services in the local area. They form the guidance as to the direction of the project. The Board consists of 8 people who meet monthly to oversee the management of the project. There are also a number of sub groups within the project on which Board members and other people from within the community also sit. eg Manor Sports Hub, The Chamber of Commerce
