North Kildare (Leixlip) Arch Club
The North Kildare (Leixlip) Arch Club was established in 1987 and is affiliated with the National Federation of Arch Clubs. Arch Clubs provide a secure social environment for people with additional needs, to form friendships, and above all, have fun. The aims of Arch Clubs are-
• To provide a social outlet for people with additional needs
• To develop the member's social skills, and self-esteem and improve quality of life.
• To have new experiences and opportunities
• To provide support and information for parents and families.
The North Kildare Arch Club is based in Leixlip and caters to over 120 adults with disabilities, ranging in age from 18- 82 years. Our members travel from Celbridge, Kilcock, Leixlip, Maynooth, Lucan, Clondalkin, Ballyfermot, and Palmerstown.
Leixlip Arch Club meets on a Wednesday evening during the school term. The weekly club is an opportunity for members to meet friends, make new friends, do arts & crafts, dance, celebrate birthdays, and participate in activities such as bowling/ yoga/ Zumba.

The club is run voluntarily and activities are funded through fundraisers, grants when eligible, or self-funded by members when other income cannot cover costs.
