Meals on Wheels Tralee

Meals on Wheels Tralee provides dinners to those who require its service on a Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

We are volunteer run with one part time chef and a Cafe Manager.

It was established in 1970 through St. Vincent de Paul in Tralee to provide a two course meal, freshly cooked and delivered to our Clients, 52 weeks of the year.

Over 75,000 meals since 2020
Currently we deliver on average 17,000 meals annually, while also providing contact with people who live alone who may not have any visitors. We also promote the welfare and well-being of the elderly, vulnerable and people in need.

We recognise that mental health can be an issue and also provide additional supports in the way of ensuring that our clients are provided with information and contact details of support groups who can help with shopping, prescription collect, and urgent house repairs and befriending.
